Today, on Remembrance Day, Canadians across the country pause to honour the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who served and continue to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces. This day holds deep significance as we remember the men and women who gave their lives for our freedom, as well as those who returned, carrying with them the experiences and sacrifices made on behalf of us all.

At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, we join in a moment of silence to reflect on the sacrifices that built and preserved our nation’s values. The red poppies we wear represent remembrance and respect – a small token for the immense courage shown by so many.

As we remember those who served, we’re also reminded of the importance of peace and the need to continue striving for a world where future generations can live free from the tragedies of war.

Let us carry forward the legacy of their bravery with gratitude, humility, and a commitment to honouring their memory. Lest we forget.
