I own a busy paint shop in North Toronto close to Signa Computer Systems, and I always try to shop LOCAL. I have been a happy Signa customer for quite some time now.
Today, Greg's team did a wonderful job addressing a WiFi issue I was having in my store. I was getting a VERY slow and unreliable wifi signal throughout the store.
When Jason (the I.T. guru) arrived, he did some tests to assess our current speeds. On our main sales floor, we were getting very slow speeds, clocking in at 18mbit download (abysmal to say the least) and after he installed our new hardware, we were clocking at 621mbit download! I'm getting strong wifi throughout the building now. It is a HUGE difference! I am beyond thrilled!
The whole store has strong signals now, which allows us to use a wireless debit terminal right out to the sidewalk in front of my store, which is very useful with Curbside Operations. This all took just over an hour to complete, and the job was done with a smile! Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!

This past Sunday, in the middle of the Family Day long weekend I discovered that the power on my desktop computer wasn’t working. As a result, I called Signa Computers and left a message for someone to call me to schedule an appointment for a technician to come to my home to diagnose the problem. Considering it was a long weekend I didn’t expect to receive a call until Tuesday. However, to my pleasant surprise Jack called me back within 30 minutes of leaving a message. We discussed my situation and based on the age of my computer, decided that rather than attempting to fix my old computer, it was time for a new one. As a result, we scheduled an appointment for a technician to come to my home on Tuesday evening to install my new computer.
Shortly after hanging up, Jack called me back to advise that his technician was actually on another call this Valentine’s Day afternoon, and advised that if I wanted, his technician could drop by within the next couple of hours to install my new computer. However, prior to doing so, Jack advised that he would have to go into the store to configure my new computer so that the technician could pick it up prior to coming to my home. As a luck would have it I had no plans so Jack advised that he would go into the store, configure my new computer, and that the technician would arrive at my home later in the afternoon.
Within two hours, Signa’s technician Nick, arrived with my new computer. Nick was the consummate professional as he patiently took the time to explain various aspects of my new desktop and copied the files from my old computer to my new one. I was very impressed by Nick’s knowledge and ability to explain various technical issues to me all in layman’s terms. When he left my home that evening, I had a new computer installed …… all within 5 hours of my original call to Signa.
This was not the first time that I’ve reached out to Signa Computers as I have purchased computers from them in the past, and I can assure you it won’t be the last. Professional, knowledgeable staff, both in store and on-site with service that is second to none! Thanks to Jack and Nick, my computer “issues” were resolved within 5 hours on a Sunday afternoon in the middle of a long weekend. Now that’s service!

My experience started over one year ago when I first began looking for a new PC. Of the many computer sellers, Jack from Signa Computers was the only one to actually take the time to listen to my requirements and tailor me a solution. His knowledge and confidence were very impressive and I was sure we would be doing business together. I didn't buy right away though and waited nearly a year until I was ready.
Once again I contacted Jack at Signa. We discussed again what would be needed and his suggestions were spot on. The machine was built in 3 days and was plug-in ready when I brought it home.
There were some minor annoyances however, with Windows 10 and its way of doing things. So when I called Jack, he was able to talk me through a fresh install of Windows 10. This took the better part of an hour using both the phone and by employing (with my permission) a remote desktop app.
In my opinion, Jack, and Signa, went beyond my expectations to deliver exceptional customer service. All in all, a flawless experience.
I recommend both Jack and Signa Computers very highly. It's true you get what you pay for.
Let me start out by saying I don't normally write reviews. But in this case I had to make an exception because I wanted to share just how good an experience I had.
I came to Signa to buy a computer for a specific project. Price was important as I am an independent contractor, so I was footing the bill on my own. Jack and Greg both spent time talking through various options for me on the website, comparing prices, and advising me on what I could do to get the best performance for my money. They then tweaked one of the online options for me that met all of my needs and hopes, and through the process they dealt with me fairly, honorably, and quite personably too! This is not the kind of service and customization you can get at a big box store!
Would I come here again? Absolutely. These are real people, making real products, helping their clients and standing behind their work. I wouldn't hesitate to buy my next machine here as well!
I was thoroughly impressed with who they sent out to help me. He was very knowledgeable , figured everything out expeditiously and strikes me as a very nice individual. Also, solid COVID protocols (mask, hand sanitizer etc.) It was a pleasure working with him. I have used these guys a few times instore and they have always been top notch. This was my first at home experience.
I have been buying PCs from Signa since 2009, 3 high end PCs in total for a single purpose, to play Microsoft Flight Simulator. That is a new machine every 3~4 years. The first two were I7’s and the newest one is an i9 with a 30-series video card.
Apart from video card upgrades between the builds, and adding more storage, I have never had a Signa PC die, ever. I am sure something will fail, but I buy good stuff, so I am not too worried. The only issue I have had was with software troubles which they have helped me with.
One time I was frustrated and suggested I call someone else to help with my software (add-in) issues. They were respectful and supported me calling The Geek Squad for “another pair of eyes on it” as I called it. After a few attempts to reach someone, I finally got through, explained my (to some people, complex) problem with my 20+ add-ins in Flight Sim X, I lost confidence and went back to Signa with my tail between my legs. They welcomed me back like I had never left and solved my problem with a re-install of FSX and add-ins – exactly what they recommended to me in the first place. They are not the cheapest, but really shine with the best service I have experienced, and only sell high quality items.
I work long hours and have used Signa’s at home service to help transition from old to new PCs, backing up, wifi improvements and a couple of phone setups over the years. I cannot say enough good about the team at Signa, from Greg, Jason, and Jack, and Chen, and Nick. They have patiently answered my calls, booked in service, and have always made time either by phone or by email. They are kind, patience, and so friendly you would think I am part of the family.
If you are looking for a good solid PC, or a technician to come to your home, I highly recommend you contact the fine folks at Signa.

The best place to buy a pc or any products from. Top notch service with the friendliest staff and fastest service. Just wanted to say that Jason was the best tech person I have ever encountered—and I’ve dealt with many through various offices where I worked. He does not over-explain, or under-explain, or treat you like you are ignorant, or bore you with irrelevant details. He also talked with the Bell rep on my behalf, which in itself is a valuable service, since they always manage to raise my blood pressure. I hope that Jason will one day teach the art of tech consulting to others! As someone in the “advice business” myself, I am especially aware of the skills required beyond professional knowledge.
I had a great experience purchasing a PC from here. I was looking at getting a computer to run the new Flight Sim 2020. I was looking for a relatively high-end PC and Signa was able to help me out about as quick as I could have hoped for. I shopped around a bit but it seemed like the only reasonable option other than Signa was building a PC myself, which I wasn't really interested in doing, so I am quite happy that this all worked out so well. I walked into the store on Yonge st. and within a few days I had exactly what I wanted with no headaches or problems. The staff are very reasonable and friendly people who will give you the kind of personal service and attention that a large corporation like Dell or Apple is unable to offer. It was a nice change to be dealing with human beings in my city rather than ordering a PC online or speaking to someone in a call-center half way across the world. In a few years I hope to be able to buy another PC from them.
I've been super happy with the product quality and service I've gotten from Signa. They sold me a demo PC build for a great price that has worked extremely well. The customer service is unbeatable. Within seconds of calling them I am put on to one of there knowledgeable staff members. Forget BestBuy, Amazon or Staples, go to Signa because chances are they have better deals and their customer service is significantly better. I will definitely recommend them to friends and family.
I recently bought a new computer build from Signa and received incredible service from Greg and the Signa team. I'm someone who doesn't know much about computer components and hardware and they make it very easy to understand as well as being clear and concise with pricing and options. These guys are great and more importantly they make it easy to understand exactly what your getting with no BS.
Straight from the start I had an amazing experience when I first bought my main work computer from them, recently ran into a minor issue with it not booting, called them up immediately and without hesitation they had me booked in to drop it off to figure out what I did to it. I was expecting a next day reply but had gotten back to me within 2 hours of dropping it off explaining what went wrong and the steps they took to fix it and asking when it would be most convenient to come put it up ( all under warranty, didn't have to spend anything ). I can't speak highly enough of the people that work there and the service they provide, and even though I'm located over an hour away from their store I refuse to take my business anywhere else.
After comparing value with the big block stores, I custom built a gaming PC through Signa's online website. A couple of friendly email exchanges and two days later, I had my computer. One of their employees even drove from Toronto to Ottawa to deliver it! It looks amazing and runs great! Customer service was fantastic throughout!
I contacted Signa for help building a new computer. I ended up buying one of their custom pre-builds. Jack spent about an hour via live chat helping me decide which specs I needed for my new gamin pc. I bought my computer and 2 days later it was hand delivered by Chen and Greg! This company has such a high rating for a reason. After ordering a high end gaming computer online, the computer was ready to pick up in couple days. When I encountered a small issue (which was likely on the manufacturer and not Signa), the team was incredibly kind, quick, responsive, and went above and beyond in accomodating me to get the problem fixed. It’s hard to express how excellent our experience was with Signa. We call Canada Computers and we’re pretty much told we were on our own. Who would have ever thought that getting a new desktop would make your face ache from not being able to stop smiling at the warmth, responsiveness and professionalism from the team at Signa computers?
I simply needed to replace my imac which failed to operate well as it is a 2015 entry model; a great machine that kept me happy for a few years but started to sadly lag as the years passed by. While some of my colleagues suggested for me to build my own desktop, I decided after some research to give Signa Computer Systems a call.
Greg Stapells, one of the founding team members, spoke to me and thoughtfully emailed me the best options for a gaming desktop . Greg came across as warm, professional, and knew his team could build and deliver the best desktop I could ever hope for. It is also worth noting that Chen Stapells, customer service manager for Signa, suggested that I could make a deposit to lock in the price of the unit and submit the rest in a few days which proved to be quite an effective payment plan as I did have all the money but hesitated to spend it all at once.
Within 3 days, before the unit was ready to ship, Greg emailed me to make sure that I did not miss any other form of hardware such as a webcam or desktop speakers of which I did not require. Never before have I been treated with such courtesy and care when purchasing a desktop!
On a final note, Jason, a member of the technical support team from Signa, delivered the unit and helped me set it up along with cleaning out the imac and demonstrated a great sense of humor while showing up at my residence in a timely manner. Jason was also sympathetic to my concerns regarding the windows desktop vs apple system. As a result, I have a great desktop that I will enjoy for several years and know that I can always count on Greg, Chen, Jason and Jack to help me with any questions or concerns that I might have. Highly recommended and worth 10 stars as I feel this review is an understatement of what Signa Computer Systems can accomplish for their customers.
I wanted to get a high end custom built PC, but I don't really have the expertise to know how to do it and which parts to look for.
Signa took care of it for me, it barely cost more than buying the parts and doing it myself and was much quicker and easier. They were responsive, helpful and extremely easy to deal with. I would highly recommend them.

I began consulting with Greg through email (outside of business hours) on Saturday and he had my PC built and shipped to me in Waterloo by Tuesday morning 9am! The PC I purchased from them in 2014, which i've gone on to further upgrade to this day (with parts from them), is still working great. I've NEVER experienced a technical problem with this PC.

Came to them with an urgent request for a new machine and they were super helpful to deal with. Ended up getting my machine earlier then they had said (day after we ordered it!). So far the machine is running absolutely perfect. Already can seriously notice the improved rendering and modelling speeds. Will definitely be back to get more machines and services from Jack and his team.
So I had a specific build that I had in mind for my PC, I did not have the time to build it myself so I checked out Signa ,I was not disappointed. I started out with a quick research email to check out options and what they were capable of. Their response was quick, after 6 or so exchanges. They encouraged me to come in, I have a young child whom they were more than happy to help entertain while I went over my build with Jack.
Not only was my PC done a week ahead of but they were flexible with either delivery or pick up.
I took possession of my PC and brought it home, however I was still waiting on a single part.. it came in and not only did they walk me through how to install it, but again their responsiveness second none. As I only had a small window to do this install and they were right with me every step of the way.
The customer service is top notch, extremely responsive. These guys know their stuff I would recommend them if your looking for a PC for gaming or business. Great service and better People. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

I confess in some recent weeks I have had some frankly horrible customer service experiences with some unrelated services that really show the contrast of just how outside the norm Signa is in dealing with their customers.
I worked with them this week on a custom build and things came together very easily with rapid response times despite a few quirky requests on my end. I was taken aback with the speed at which I got the notification "Hey your computer is ready!"
It would be very difficult to do a better job and it's why I keep coming back to them as a customer.
After continuous “Window Shopping” all the gaming PC’s out there on the internet, i’ve finally got one to call mine and i couldn’t be happier. Signa’s staff were kind and made purchasing my first gaming PC easy and hassle free. The packaging made sure everything was safe as it travelled from Toronto to BC, and the shipping speed was great considering the delays from Covid.

I was confident I'd called the right place to help tidy up and secure my home network when I called Signa, the reviews are great. Jason came and seemed very knowledgeable and pleasant. The key things he did where to create a mesh network so I had stronger wifi throughout and he configured back up to an external disc for 2 laptops. He was also able to remote in on a couple of later occasions to sort out some other network related issues. Overall great service!

No more big box store computers for me. My old PC was becoming unbearably slow, so I finally took the plunge with a custom build. Great quality, absolutely outstanding service, and the machine is built by pros who stake their livelihood and reputation on what goes out the door. I based my decision on the Google reviews and the fact that these guys have been at it over 25 years, and I couldn't be happier. I wish I would have said goodbye to the brand names years ago. I'm telling all my friends about this place and I'll be a repeat customer when it comes time to upgrade.

I needed a new computer because my laptop has had problems since the beginning. After alot of searching online for a place that would do computer builds, I found Signa Computer Systems.
I decided on a gaming desktop setup with an SSD drive so that it would be quick. Even though I am not into gaming, it was a good decision.
The moment you walk in, you are greeted with enthusiastic staff and made to feel welcome. I told them what I was looking for, and what my budget was. I was surprised at how much I was able to get based on my budget.
I'm really happy with the computer they built me. They use quality parts that work well together. Its super fast, and exactly what I was looking for.
Their customer service is excellent as well. I had a bit of trouble setting up the computer on my own, but this is due to me being somewhat lacking in computer knowledge. They were able to help me by emailing back and forth. This was on a saturday night at almost 9pm! They also followed up with me to make sure everything was ok. I'm was so impressed!
I made a good decision by going to Signa for my desktop build. You cannot get the same level of service from the big box stores.

I’ve been a happy customer of Signa since 2003. Greg, Jack and Jason have been great to deal with, sometimes getting my calls and emails after they have closed. I mostly need help with printing and wifi, and that’s where Jason has come to get me back up and running. Being in the neighbourhood they’ve always arrived pretty quickly. In this online era, it’s easy to get things delivered to the house, but not so easy getting the help needed to set things up. I’ve recommended them to a few other people and they seem happy with them, too.

If you are looking to get a new rig I would strongly suggest this company. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff that are willing to accommodate beyond what would normally be expected. My old computer decided to completely fry itself last Sunday night, which really affected my work as I work from home online, so while shopping around for a new computer I stumbled upon Signa and went in to talk to them about what options I had in my price range. They were very helpful, didn't try to oversell me, and were able to build a custom rig from scratch in less then 3 hours! Strongly recommended!

Other people would just turn a deaf ear or not reply in a timely way, but they will answer you in a very good time frame and are always eager to lend a hand.

Like many folks online, I did some research prior to selecting from whom I would make my next computer purchase - Signa caught my eye and the rest is history! After an initial chat with the owner Greg about what I wanted, and a bit of soul searching about what I *really* needed vs wanted, it was so incredibly refreshing speaking with someone not trying to up sell you and just wanting to give you good advice on a not so inexpensive purchase. I opted for a powerful Intel NUC and after using it now for just about 3 weeks I’m very happy with my purchase. I decided to pick it up in person when it was ready (in record time actually) to put a face to the name and I also had a chance to meet Jack (techno savant) who expertly setup my new machine along with 2 very nice ladies and another gentleman whose names I did not get at the time (sorry!). I think my key message here for anyone considering a new system or upgrade or just looking for good *honest* advice is that you can’t beat the local independent computer shop for a satisfying customer service experience and value-add, so in my case, Signa has earned a customer for life. I recently found Signa by searching for local companies dealing with Fractals boxes. I needed a part for this box and Signa went out of their way to assist me in obtaining the part when every other company I contacted just said "you can order it from the internet". Problem was that meant ordering it from Sweden as there are no parts dealers for Fractals boxes in Canada. Signa was able to source the part when other companies wouldn't even try. Greg and his team were a pleasure to deal with and I will definitely be back.

I desperately needed to speed up my MacBook Pro, did a search and luckily found Signa. The lady on the phone was very receptive and welcomed me to come over to assist me with my Mac. They upgraded it to better than new performance for a really fair price. In the end they recommended I get a hardshell protective case which they ended up giving me no charge, what a nice treat! Best Custom Build Experience I've ever had!
Almost 6 years ago I bought my first custom system from Signa. At that time I was really impressed with how knowledgeable and approachable the staff were, and enjoyed working with them to zero-in on a custom build that suited my purpose and budget. They built an absolute BEAST of a system for me back then, and I've just recently repeated that experience with them on a new build. Greg remembered who I was even though I hadn't been in-store for years, and he and Jack took the time to look over what I wanted to do, suggested some excellent tweaks, and shipped a new system half-way across the country at a better price-point, and with better hardware, than anything I could find locally or online.
As someone who has been shopping around for gaming systems for almost 20yrs now, I can't say enough about how great a place Signa is, and how refreshing it is to deal with such a great staff!

I have come to Signa Computers many times over the past few years and have found that they are exactly what most computer users want in a computer shop: friendly, clear, and knowledgeable advice; a hard working attitude; professionalism; a wide as well as an in-depth range of knowledge of computers and their peripherals; and an ability to provide exactly what I need in short order, even if it is not currently in stock. And the prices are quite reasonable!
They turned a long-standing audio problem on our desktop PC into an awesome solution for $50 and a few minutes time, when I had asked dozens of "professionals" what the problem was (they were all wrong, Greg got it right immediately).
They solved my specific printer needs in a matter of minutes and I had been asking in various other locations for more than a month and getting unclear and unsatisfactory answers. And today, they took what looked to me like a monster virus had slipped past my antivirus; discovered that it was an application error, not a virus; and solved it, within less than 24 hours with their available rush service. These are my go-to guys for any computer problem that I have. I had a big animation job and needed a new octane render machine built on a crazy tight deadline. The guys at Signa came through and built me a powerful 3 GPU i9 workstation with very little notice and the job went off without a hitch. This was my 4th workstation from Signa in 6 or 7 years and they are all still running with no problems today.
Although I have only visited Signa Computers once (I was in a hurry to fix my computer for a big presentation the next day), I was really impressed by their service. The man at the counter there was extremely nice, and he managed to fix all of my problems by the next day. I will be coming here more often with computer repairs -- not only are the staff extremely easy going, they are also reliable.

I very recently bought a gaming computer from Signa Computers and had a great experience from the start of my order to the date of pickup. I found the staff to be knowledgeable and helpful in making this big purchase. Jack was in touch through the build process and kept me up to date and offered up some great tips when I picked up my new computer. The computer itself is working great and runs everything I try at ultra settings 1080p without a hitch including The Division. When I picked up the computer the store was very busy and the speakers I had purchased got lost in the shuffle and I didn't realize this until I got home in the Caledon area. When I let Greg know what had happened he personally drove out and delivered my speakers that night so I was able to have my computer setup and working on date of pickup. Talk about above and beyond service! I would not hesitate to recommend buying a computer through Signa to my family, friends and coworkers - the service is incredible and everybody who works there is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about what they are selling. When I called these guys up I was in a productivity nightmare. I needed a SolidWorks workstation repaired and upgraded to run the latest verison with fast rendering capabilities. What I brought in to Signa almost didn't run. When I picked up this system it was operating better than when it was new. NO JOKE. These guys really know their stuff! We have called on Signa's expertise several times and found them helpful and timely, particularly when our desktop computer finally died. We bought a Signa computer and we are very pleased with it. The technician who set things up is extremely helpful, as are the staff if we phone for advice.
Went here twice -- The first time was to get a Windows 10 boot key. Greg, I think his name is, called me back to double check on details because it was raining and he wanted to ensure they have the right version before I come down in the rain. How nice is that? The second time, after I bungled my new PC build, they rebuilt it from the ground up. The quality is ridiculously good -- it works like a charm and the cable management is impressive. Even if I move downtown or to a suburb I'd drive all the way back to uptown Toronto for anything computer related. These guys have my trust.
We had been having so many problems with WIFI, Apple TV, Netflix and Sonos. We initially went to the different providers of each service for help, but we needed someone to come in and assess the problem as a whole. The Signa technician fixed everything in 1 hour and now everything is working properly. What's more, the technician showed up on time and was very courteous. Amazing!
I have a CyberPower PC and god do I hate it for having so much blue screens and black screens and never ending loop holes! That's when I decided to take it for repair. I checked online for places that repair PC and decided on Signa based on the reviews. I read a few reviews and from that I assumed Jack and Greg are good people. I go in give them my PC and leave. Later on the same day my computer was fixed! HURAY! and guess what, they have exceeded my expectations! I thought these two were just nice sweet people from the reviews but girl when you meet them in person mm-mmm- mmmm! What a lovely bunch! sigh I wish I could be their friend :/ Also they like cats and I love cats soooo... Ok sorry of topic here. 20/10 service 20/10 results. I had bought a computer from them three years ago and it runs as well as it did the day I bought it and the employees offer amazing customer service and will get you a computer that will last you long and fit your budget at the same time.
I always found that Greg and Jack are very helpful when I come in with a problem or request. The last time I came in looking for a wireless Bluetooth keyboard. They suggested a keyboard the advertises itself for an Android system. I run Windows. It works great.

I ordered a custom built machine from Signa and I also requested a data and favourites transfer. They accomplished all this quickly and the finished product is terrific. My new machine boots up in under 30 seconds and my new soundcard has flexible capabilities. I am very pleased with the finished product. I did run into problems trying to play DVD's and CD's in my E drive. Jack of Signa used a software application called Team Viewer and he was able to fix all the problems within minutes. I am a very satisfied customer. I have found that Signa really support their customers and stand behind the products that they make and sell. I would highly recommend Signa and I will be going to them for my next PC.

As a contractor I have invested in tools for many years. I have learnt by experience, both good and bad, how to choose the right tool for the job. Computers are another thing entirely. Bought an entry level gaming computer around 5 months ago, performance still excellent since then. The rig: FX-6300/GTX 750 Ti/8GbRAM gives me the following FPS: 200-220 FPS for CSGO at 1080p 65-75 FPS for Battlefield 4 at 1080p 60-70 FPS for Killing Floor 2 at 1080p The FPS are surprising good for this build. In addition, I have to say that the case allows for easy upgrades like SSD's and different CPU cooling options (in my case a Corsair H60). I'm happy with this desktop and I have to say that Greg has excellent costumer skills, and if you didn't know you can use their website to chat with them about any problems you get with your new computer. I definitely recommend Signa to anybody buying a gaming computer :)
My experience with Greg Stapells and Jack Ferguson of Signa Computer Systems began on May 5th, 2016 at 3:51 pm, when I sent them an e-mail indicating my interest in getting a new computer along with the specs I was hoping to get included in it. I was kind of crushed when my local computer store, who I'd done business with for 15 years, went under in 2014, so I was kind of nervous about trying someone new. 51 minutes later at 4:42 pm, Greg sent a return e-mail with his ideas on what the build should include. That's right...Fifty-one minutes. That's a pretty awesome response time. Ok, so far I'm impressed. Wait a minute...Outside of my processor, SSD, and HDD, nothing else is the same...Hmmm...I've got some questions for you guys...So began a volley of back and forth e-mails where I asked a lot of questions, and they answered them...Without looking down their noses at me. About 24 hours later, we had an "e-mail handshake agreement", and about 24 hours after that (May 7th), Jack started the build. I did not pay for rush-build service because I didn't see the need for it. Seven to ten days (standard build time) was perfectly fine with me. Before Jack started the build, he promised it would be ready for pickup by Friday May 13th, which is 6 days if you're counting (not including Sunday, when they're closed). On Tuesday May 10th, Jack e-mailed me to give me a heads up that they were having trouble getting the video card in, and would I consider an upgrade? I indicated that I wanted to hold the line on the price, so I didn't want to upgrade it, as it was perfectly fine for my needs. He was fine with that i.e. he didn't try to pressure me into something I didn't want, and I appreciated that. He later indicated that they'd found an alternate supplier and everything was proceeding as planned. I e-mailed him on Thursday to ask if we were still on for Friday. Four minutes later, he e-mailed back to indicate that the build was done and I could pick it up as scheduled on Friday. That's five days total for the build if you're counting, when it was promised in 7-10 days. Another checkmark in the win column for these guys. What happened next will seem like a checkmark in the loss column, but Jack managed to put it in the win column in the end. I got it home and noticed that the optical drive (DVD-ROM) had not been installed. Later that night (early Saturday morning), I shot Jack an e-mail to indicate this. He got back to me at 7:21 on Saturday morning to indicate that he would personally come out and fix it. He showed up at about 2:30 on Sunday afternoon (his only day off of the week), optical drive in hand. About a half an hour later, he left having also set up a back up system on my hard drive. I didn't even ask for that last one. He just felt it would be a good idea, and boom! done. Some of you might say, he shouldn't have made the mistake in the first place, but we're all human and we all make mistakes. The impressive part is that he took ownership of the mistake and corrected it within what I deem to be a reasonable amount of time, and he setup the back up system. Why do I go through all of this minutiae, and bore you with all these details? To show you that at every step of the customer experience, these guys stepped up and exceeded my expectations. Not only are they very good at what they do, they also care about making sure their customers are happy, and they care about their community (look at their wall as you go in if you don't believe me). As for the price, I checked out what it would've taken to get all the parts to my apartment. At the very least it would've been about $1,100 to get all the parts. But then I would've had to build it. Uh, no thanks. Their price for everything was $1,280 including the environmental handling fee. Also, remember that it was loosely based on a $1,000 USD build. The cost of $1,000 USD is currently (May 19th, 2016) $1,312.95. That's a very fair price if you ask me. Thanks for everything guys. I'll be back. Count on it.
In November of 2015, I ordered a custom, high end gaming/ workstation PC from Origin PC. A month later, my $6,000 PC arrived with a dead PCI-E slot and one of the SLI 980 TIs therefor not functioning. I sent it back, but still lost over $1,000 on the transaction, from shady restocking fees and shipping costs. Not cool. You can imagine my trepidation, then, when it came to where to build my new PC, again. I've built PCs before, though in ideal circumstances it's easier and safer to have a professional take care of the construction and component work for you. In the end, after much research, I decided to see if I couldn't find a local vendor here in T.O., who could make the build that I wanted. Signa was on the "short-list" of inquiries, and they quickly made it to the top spot with their responsiveness, professionalism and courtesy. People overlook the value of customer service in the tech industry, however, it's just as important to be polite as it is to be knowledgeable. Sometimes there's a gulf between technophiles and regular folk (I'm somewhere in-between), and it's maintained with haughtiness from a technician who thinks you're just another fool who doesn't know where the power button is on your computer. Anyway, Jack, Greg and Carolina displayed none of that arrogance. They were a pleasure to deal with. They delivered on the specs and timeline (one week) for my new rig. The only complication, was that they over-delivered, in some respects, and the GPUs were a bit too large, noisy and hot to comfortably fit into my MATX case. After a few adjustments and finally a trip into the shop, they swapped out the larger, overclocked GPUs for brand-new reference, blower-style cards that fixed every issue with heat and noise. Performance even improved, on an already brutally fast machine. I can multitask, open dozens of documents at once, stream music, and even leave a 4K game running in the background if I want, without my rig breaking a sweat or even hitching. I think what's important about the fact that there was this slight hiccup in my build, isn't the problem itself, rather, it's the solution: how quickly and easily the situation was resolved, and how little of a fuss was made. They even offered to courier in the machine, when it seemed as if I couldn't make it down the day the issue cropped up. I had my PC back the NEXT day, with the adjustments and change in parts mentioned above. If I'd stayed with the US retailer (Origin PC) who shipped me my first attempt at this build, I would've been without a workstation for weeks or months even. That's unacceptable considering the expense of these machines. I appreciate that the people who work at Signa appreciate a person's time. Fast, professional, efficient: that's Signa PC in a nutshell. They have made me a customer for life.

Signa builds impressive computers that actually perform beautifully. I previously had a Dell Alienware-Area 51 which was exotic and temperamental to say the least which finally just lay down and died. My new one with Geforce GTX Titan X blows My Alienware out of the water. Jack was very patient with me walking me through my choices with no pressure to upgrade-which I did, a lot. I am a fairly demanding gamer-Skyrim, Elder Scrolls Online and Witcher 3 and this build is the best I have ever had. This is now my go to place.
