Recent Articles| Windows 8: it's like going from the stone age to space age | April 23, 2013 | Free training on Windows 8 with every new PC purchase! We know how tough change is, especially going from an old computer to a new one, and now, moving into a brand new world.....Windows 8!
Windows 8 is so drastically different from 7, it's like going from the stone age to the space age. We've heard many opinions and the feedback we've received has been very valuable and because of this, we're offering something to you for FREE - A 30 minute training session with the owner of Signa with every purchase of a new PC - ABSOLUTELY FREE!
Most of our clients love the new Windows experience especially how the "start menu" has transformed into the constantly-updating Start Screen (think CP24), with "Live Tiles." Some of you though, refused to upgrade because of it. We understand how intimidating change can be, but we can help. This is your chance to test-drive the new platform, with a personal trainer at your side.
We are committed to our customers, and I will personally train each and every person that buys a desktop, notebook, or upgrades to windows 8, with one 30 min Windows 8 lesson.
We're always here to help (almost 20 years now!) and our promise is to continue to provide peace of mind every time you purchase something from us. So give us a call, email, or come on in, and we'll prove that change is a great thing.
Thank you,

| | PC Gaming's Biggest "Secrets" | April 17, 2013 | Although you might not consider yourself a gamer, do you know your PC can double as a gaming console delivering a much greater user experience? Here are some of the advantages!
People today spend a lot of time and money on devices and consoles when in fact, they have one right in front of their noses... Yes, your own PC! Did you know your PC is the optimum device for all your gaming needs and, can also save you time, money and frustration in addition to delivering a much greater gaming experience? Here are some of the key advantages our experts have noted your PC can deliver :
- More types of games with more gameplay variety - discover entirely new genres (like RTSs and MMOs) which are almost completely absent from consoles but available in abundance on the PC.
- Control - better controls with a keyboard and mouse. Actually aim precisely and know that you have skill, rather than relying on auto-aim to do it for you.
- Higher resolution on your PC, enhanced detail and better video experience - even older titles from a decade ago all run in high definition or better. Push your detail way beyond what consoles can handle, and run at a razor-sharp 2560X1600.
- Get up close and personal - ever miss seeing the enemy in the distance because you're too far away from the screen? Get up close and personal with your monitor and fill your view a truly immersive rendering of the game world.
- Take advantage of user-created content - Download tons of free maps and mods which simply aren't available on consoles. Give many PC games new levels to play, new skins, and sometimes even entirely new gameplay modes - all for free! The PC is where modding began, and it's still where it's at.
- Instantly find tips online while gaming - stuck on a particular level and can't find the way out? Google is your friend, and it's only an ALT-Tab away!
- Protect your gaming library - console games are tied to each console generation, and once your console's kaput, you can't play anymore. PCs are a very generic and flexible platform though, and most older games (even ones from as far back as the 1980's) can still be run on modern PC hardware.
- Your PC is a multi-purpose machine good for all types of usage - when you're not gaming, you can actually use it to do other things. You can even make games with a PC!
At Signa, we're always here to help and provide you with the knowledge and peace of mind you need to make sound decisions. Please call, surf online, or come in for a visit. We look forward to seeing you!
Thank you,

| | 5 Ways To Maximize Your in-home WiFi Experience | April 9, 2013 | Have you ever experienced a weak internet signal, drop off, or just a slow connection? Well, there are many ways you can increase range and speed and with these tips, we hope you'll increase your at home WiFi experience.
- Move your wireless router to a central location: The best spot for your router is on a main floor, as close as possible to the center of your home. Also, try and keep it away from walls and metal objects. Nice high placement on a shelf usually works best, and don't be afraid to experiment and see what spot works best. Keep any doors open that separate you from your router; even hollow wooden ones will cause you to lose bars.
- Replace your router: Routers have improved greatly over the years, so if yours is 3+ years old, you may want to consider replacing it with a newer model. This almost always boosts signal strength and speed and as an added bonus, doesn't need rebooting as often.
- Replace your WiFi card in PC, or upgrade the wireless card in your notebook: Wireless-N gives the best range and speed, and where possible, you should try to match the brands of wireless products. E.g. D-Link routers work best with D-Link wireless cards. Some notebooks can be upgraded with newer Wi-Fi cards. Drop by with your notebook and we'll be able to tell you on the spot if this can be done.
- Install a Range Expander or Repeater: These work great to boost the signal in problem areas of your home, whether it be a bedroom, a basement corner, or your back patio.
- Run a hard-wired Ethernet cable: When all else fails, it's time to consider a hard wired Ethernet cable to connect your PC or Mac. While the most difficult to install, you can't beat the speed and reliability of a physical network connection. Snap that cable into the wall jack and you'll find you'll cut down on router reboots and find much reduced latency or lag time.
At Signa, we're always here to help and provide you with the knowledge and peace of mind you need to make sound decisions. Please call, surf online, or come in for a visit. We look forward to seeing you!
Warm Regards,
Greg Stapells

| | Have Fun and Worry Less With These Simple Tips | March 5, 2013 | When we think of "computing" we usually think of computing devices (the hardware) first, but when all is said and done, what's really important to us is the data. Hardware is easily replaced, but our documents, photos, music, artwork (and even trivial things we take for granted like browser bookmarks, address books, and old e-mail) can be absolutely irreplaceable.
We rarely consider the possibility of devices wearing out and breaking -- at least not until something actually happens, and precious data is lost. But of course, at that point, it's often too late. Taking an "it won't happen to me" approach is simply not good enough.
Be pro-active, and take the safety of your data in hand today. There are many backup solutions available, and most of them are both easy-to-use and extremely affordable. To find the backup solution that fits both your needs and your budget, drop in to Signa to today. We'll give you a free evaluation, and put you on the path to safely securing your data.

| | Content Creation or Consumption, which do you do? | February 7, 2013 | It's been said that iPads and popular tablets are great for media consumption: browsing the web, playing games, or writing the odd email, and touchsceens are well suited to this. For those who create content, work extensively with spreadsheets or accounting packages, write books, and more, a desktop or notebook is still the best tool to get things done.
We've been designing and recommending Desktops and Notebooks for almost 20 years now, helping people get things done and get back to business rather than fiddle with tech issues. We won't sell what you don't need, and everyone's needs are different. Some people insist on very quick start-up and an instant response. Others demand more graphics performance for CAD, design, or games. Some clients want a really small, compact design without any compromise on power. With our custom solutions, you only pay for what you need, and not a penny more.
So, let's recap the benefits of a Signa Custom Desktop or Notebook:
- Choice of colour, size, style
- Decide where to spend your money - Graphics or Speed, or both
- Completely upgradeable, allowing you to easily renew the performance
- Standard off-the-shelf components that can be obtained anywhere
- Local support from people you’ll get to know and will be there to help
P.S. there's a brand new class of computer coming on strong, the new Windows 8 Tablets. Think of them as a hybrid between a notebook and a tablet. They do everything an iPad or Android will do, but have MS Office 2013 included (no converting docs!), a USB port, and video out - they're incredible!
Feel free to send an email to sales@signa.com to discuss your particular requirements and how we can help you.
Regards,
Greg Stapells

| | The only phone with Microsoft Office built right in! | January 22, 2013 | Which productivity suite do you use? If you're like most people, you're running Office 2010 as it's the world standard from schools to businesses. Windows Phones allow you to open and save MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote files without converting them. It also connects to your Exchange Server for wireless syncing of email, contacts, calendar, tasks, and notes.
Internet Explorer 10 offers the best browsing experience, and Live Tiles allow you to put the stuff you care about right on the home screen, like your family photos, the weather, news, and more. All of this is accessible without tapping and running an app, it’s so convenient!
Most of our clients aren't all that interested having pages of 3rd party apps, but if there's something you need, there's a growing base of 140,000+ apps, so there's bound to be something to fit your unique requirement.
Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have concerning Windows or any other smartphone.

| | Signa's Windows 8 Update - Has the dust settled? | January 15, 2013 | Now that we've installed a few hundred copies of Windows 8, we thought we would share a few key findings.
- Microsoft has really perfected the upgrade process from Vista and 7. It supports and backs up programs and settings, installs Windows 8, and then restores program and user settings. It's an amazing feature, pain free and really does create peace of mind when transitioning to a new operating system.
- Upgrading from XP saves documents and settings, but you'll have to reinstall programs as Windows 8 is similar to Vista and 7, but radically different than XP.
- Windows 8 Does Not require a touchscreen! It's nice with it, but definitely optional. Once you click out of the Modern Interface (new start menu with Live Tiles) you're back to a Windows 7-familiar desktop, with all your shortcuts etc. The Modern interface works great with a mouse, but it takes a bit to get used to it.
- We thought we would get a lot more calls about any bugs but we didn't. People are just using and enjoying Windows 8, which is great. (Some take us up on 30 minutes or an hour of home instruction, which we use to transfer data and show you the ropes.)
- Once you get used to searching for and running programs without the old start menu, you won't miss it a bit.
- Some like Windows 8 so much they're switching from Blackberry and iPhone to Windows Phone 8. It has Microsoft Office 2013 built right in, along with Live Tiles that show you the information you need right on the main screen without running an app.
FYI - Microsoft has announced its been selling 20 million copies of Windows 8 per month, putting its new flagship slight ahead of its last big success, Windows 7. We’re here to guide you through the process, so if you have any questions, ask away. In the meantime, come in and test drive Windows 8 for yourself, and see what all the fuss is about!
Best Regards,
Greg Stapells

It's time to start thinking about the season of sharing, and about what to get our loved ones for the holidays. I know a lot of us here in the store are looking at things like the Google Nexus 7 and the HP Envy Pro Ultrabook. You can also come in and ask about Signa gift cards! Why buy a new computer when they already have one they know and love? Let the professionals take care of them and get their old computer running as good as new.

| | Warming up this winter with Windows 8 | November 21, 2012 | Another holiday season is almost upon us, and if you've been in the store lately, you know we're ready to bring on the festivities. Signa is having their Christmas party, and you're invited! December 8th will be a time of cheer - join us for a day full of free eggnog, cookies, candy canes, and holiday cheer. Everybody is welcome to join in the fun!
Snapping pictures at the party? With Windows 8, sharing has never been easier. Taking your pictures and videos and dropping them on your SkyDrive allows you to access them from any computer (even if it doesn't have Windows 8). Don't worry about bringing memory keys or your external around with you to show friends and family the moments that matter.
Did you know Windows 8 brings your games with you now, too? With your Windows Live account you can install the Xbox games app and share your games through the cloud between your PC and console. If you know somebody who has a passion for PC gaming or a need for higher end graphics, take a look at just a few of the items below - we're sure they'd be jaw dropping presents this holiday!

| | Windows 8 demand outpacing 7 | November 7, 2012 | I’d like to extend a big thanks to all that attended our Windows 8 launch party, it was a huge success for us. Turnout was much greater than expected, and everyone wanted a test spin on Windows 8, it was fantastic!
Microsoft Corp Executive Steve Ballmer said demand for company’s new Windows 8, released to the public Oct 26th, was running at a higher rate than its last release, Windows 7. Now that’s saying something as many snapped up Windows 7 at a rapid pace, anxious to upgrade from XP and Vista. The kids are moving to it (naturally) but interestingly, many of our clients are getting 8 to connect with their kids and grandkids.
Fun fact: Microsoft is launching their first international store at Yorkdale next Friday and will feature the U.S. band Train. Drop on by, we may see you there!

| | My personal take on Windows 8 | October 16, 2012 | Every program that ran under Windows 7 worked perfectly under Windows 8: Office 2010, Adobe Photoshop CS6, Picasa, Trend 2013, and Adobe Acrobat.
There was an adjustment period in getting used to where things were, just like in Office 2010. Here's what got me by :
"Windows" is the Windows key to the left of spacebar
Windows + C = Settings, Devices, Start, Share & Search
Windows + i = Restart, Shutdown, Sleep, and more settings
Windows + D = Legacy Desktop
Windows + R = Run command
Windows + X = Frequently used administrator tasks
Mouse down and right corner = Settings, Devices, Start, Share & Search (same as Windows + C)
Mouse down and left corner = last used program/session
There's more but that's my short list that got me by.
Microsoft Store has a lot of fun games (many are free) and great apps. Pinball and Fruit Ninja are our favourites!
The feel is fast and fresh. Everything is big, bold, and easy to read, it looks ahead of its time, like Windows XP did 10 years ago.
Internet Explorer 10 is really something to behold. Hardware accelerated for maximum speed, and again a great new look and feel.

| | Top 5 Fears when Upgrading a Computer | October 9, 2012 | #5 Upgrade or Buy New - This is an easy one to answer. If it will run XP chances are it will run Windows 7 even better. That goes double if you currently use Vista. If you're seeking more speed, just upgrade the slower components with the features you'd like.
#4 Noise - "my PC sounds like a jet taking off!" We hear you, and fix this every day. We can silence most PCs big or small.
#3 Looks - Imagine updating your car to look like the latest model for $200... that's exactly what we can do for your PC. You pick the style or we'll recommend what's current and it'll look like new again. Talk about keeping things out of the landfill!
#2 It's too big and heavy - The nice thing about most PCs is that we can scale them down to a much smaller, better looking package without losing your programs and data. See #1
#1 Data - "will I lose all my programs and data?" No. At Signa we carefully backup your computer before working on improving speed and features

| | Post a Review, Signa will help you! | August 24, 2012 | Many people are used to dealing with companies where customer service is an afterthought. At Signa, we put customer service first and foremost. We want you to have a great experience each and every time, and if for some reason you aren't completely happy, just call us - we actually listen, we want you to be satisfied, and we will go that extra mile to make everything right.
In the era of Social Media, when anything goes wrong, it's second nature for people to vent their frustrations online - but when things go right, there's often very little incentive to put words to keyboard. We want to give you that incentive, and ask that you share your positive customer experiences - in return, we'll give you free service to show our appreciation for the time you've taken.
So, how can your review earn you a free computer service call you ask? It's easy. Just click the link below, write us a review detailing your positive customer experience, and post it - then send us an e-mail about it at sales@signa.com and earn yourself a free 15 minute telephone support call for a computer problem. The value of this offer is $37.50 plus HST, but could save you hundreds if you avoid a service call or a major issue down the road.
Visit the link to Signa's Reviews

If you'd rather not click the link, search on google.ca for "Signa Computer Systems" and click on "reviews."

| | Tell-tale signs that it's time to refresh your PC or Mac | July 10, 2012 | Hello there I hope you are enjoying your summer so far! With the warmer temperatures, often we're thinking of the usual summer chores: cutting and watering the grass, getting those odd jobs done around the house, you know, the things we need to do to really enjoy this great time of the year.
How about your PC or Mac? Does it need work as well? Here are the top things to look for, and some fixes below.
- Does your web browser get stuck on "connecting" and seem to take forever to load a page?
- Do you frequently get pop-up messages saying "the following program has stopped working..." (windows 7) or program just won't run (mac)
- Does your PC or Mac take a long time to start up or shutdown?
- Do you have 2 or more little annoyances, things just not working the way they should with your computer?
- Does your WiFi often disconnect?
Here's what you can try to do to fix the problems yourself:
- Try uninstalling any unnecessary programs
- Disabling any browser add-ons, especially toolbars
- Do all your Windows or Mac OS updates (especially in wake of Flashback virus)
- Un-install the affected program, re-install it, update it to the latest version and see if that solves the problem
- If none of the above work, the last resort (and sometimes the quickest thing you can do) is to backup all your data, get your software lined up to re-install, deauthorize your itunes and any Adobe software like Photoshop, and DO A FRESH INSTALLATION OF YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM.
Note: Please do not attempt my "last resort" recommendation if you're not completely familiar with how to completely backup your PC (Windows Backup) or Mac (Time Machine). I'm not responsible if you mess things up on your own!
If you would be more comfortable having someone do this for you, we can help. Whether it be doing the whole job end-to-end or just fine-tuning or fixing up what you've done, we're quite good with this type of work.
Best Regards,
Greg Stapells, Owner

| | Signa's Top 5 Reasons Why A Custom PC Is A Better Choice | May 18, 2012 | Business has been great in 2012, and we're happy to say a big part of that has been from the sales of our Custom PCs. I thought I'd take a quick minute to explain why you'd be better off choosing a Signa Custom PC over a pre-built one at a big box store.
- Buy only what you need and not what a big manufacturer says you need. After a short discussion with us, we'll recommend a computer that best suits your needs. For example, if graphics aren't that important, we'll put that money into a better processor (CPU, or the engine of the PC) which will give you a quicker response and more usable life out of your PC. If a small enclosure is important, we'll design a tiny-but-powerful machine for you. If it's for gaming or graphics, we'll recommend a good video card and a 27" monitor. (The approach above is often how people choose some of the finer things in life...ours just happen to be quite affordable!)
- A custom PC are designed to be upgradeable, which means as it starts to slow down, a simple processor upgrade may be all you need to get that extra speed boost you're looking for. For example, take our Value PC w/Intel i3. We can very easily upgrade it to an i5 or i7, both of which will provide huge boosts in processing power and give your machine that sense of urgency it had when you bought it.
- Our PCs come in pretty much any colour and size you'd like, matching the look to your room. For example, living room PCs, or Media PCs, come in an enclosure that looks like your home stereo and plugs right into your flat screen TV. Other options are large gaming cases the teens like or all-in-ones that have the computer built into the monitor.
- This is a big one: Signa PCs don't come pre-loaded with a lot of junk you don't need, and that's a good thing. Pre-loaded software can slow down a new PC down as much as 50%, and getting rid of it often requires a 3-hour fresh installation of Windows! Our PCs are fast and efficient, and you will notice the difference right away.
- We use standard hardware. The big box guys want to sell you a new PC or force you to go to the manufacturer for a new power supply/motherboard/etc. We use industry standard components you can purchase anywhere, saving you a lot of time and money.
So those are the top 5 reasons why I think you should purchase a Custom PC from Signa. One other reason is that you're supporting your local small business. You'll get to know us and we'll be able to help you when you have a problem, without all the call transfers and voicemail!
Best regards, Greg

| | Fallout from Mac D-Day Malware | May 10, 2012 | So you ask.....what's the fallout from the first MAC based virus? Did I take the necessary steps?
How do I continue to protect myself? Can this happen again? All great questions for sure.
In our initial email two weeks ago, we alerted you to the severity of the "Flashback" virus and the steps you could take to help both you and your Mac stay safe. We hope you took our advice as so many did. Unfortunately, there are other issues arising from a virus like this.....your internet provider may shut you down, personal information may get leaked and sent to your contacts, and I need not mention the many effects malware can have on your Mac. To really understand how serious this is, and what preventative maintenance you can undertake, we urge you to call us or come in - bring your Mac and we'll ensure you're well prepared if it should happen again.
At Signa, peace of mind is our promise.
Best Regards,
Greg Stapells

| | D-Day Arrives - MAC Virus Takes a Huge Bite Out of Apple! | April 19, 2012 | Well, it's here! After years of virus-free computing, Apple's OSX has been hit. Programmers writing viruses/malware (malicious software) generally write for the biggest audience, the Windows/PC market. However, now that Apple has massive brand traction, the attacks have begun. Apple has suddenly found itself scrambling to keep up. Enter "Flashback" and the nightmare scenario for Mac owners... Reports estimate about 600,000 Macs have been infected, silently, by the Flashback Trojan which completely circumvents Apple's security, requiring no user intervention at all. This is called a drive-by attack, as the malware installs itself when Mac user views a malicious site.
Apple released Java updates last Friday to patch the Java security hole (a record three updates in one week) and cleanup up most traces of the malware. Just do a software update on your Mac.
Kaspersky, a leading Antivirus software producer is offering a free Flashback removal tool here : http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/utility
What to do? Well, it may be too soon to recommend that Mac users run out and purchase A/V software, but that day may be coming soon. In the meantime, update your Mac and run the free scan tool offered above to be sure your system is clean. Signa can help, so call us or come in, we service MACs - at home and in-store.
Best regards,
Greg Stapells

| | For all that your are - Choice is a good thing! | April 13, 2012 | BMW or Mercedes, Nike or Adidas.....tablet or Desktop, life is all about choice.
We love this topic and we're often asked, "should I get a tablet"? or "Can it replace my notebook?" Here’s our take: We call tablets "consumables." Great devices for browsing, displaying photos, reading, and the odd game but, for getting real work done, notebooks and desktops are still more practical and efficient. Many clients ask us about comparing the portability of a tablet versus the practicality and workability of the notebook or desktop. For my dollar, if I'm buying something to use for work related functionality over the long term, I choose the notebook or desktop as the clear cut winner for getting real work done.
We realize there's a place for the tablet, and that choice based on lifestyle is a good thing. For different tasks, everyone wins. Here's a bit of a comparison:
Tablet:
- Browsing the web or reading a book in bed
- Portable companion for traveling
- Passing some pics around to family
- Casual gaming to pass a few minutes
PC/Notebook:
- Display slides to a group with large monitor or projector
- Organizing & editing photos
- Design work and/or Powerpoint
- Number crunching in large spreadsheets
- Video editing & production
Whatever your choice is, we're here to help educate you as to the right choice to suit your needs and budget. Let us help create a lifestyle for you where, at work or at home, you'll be happy with your devices. You'll get peace of mind knowing you made the right decision, it's our promise! Call us, come in, or email us, we're in your neighbourhood.
Best Regards,

| | Back Up or Beware! | March 13, 2012 | Many of us go through our busy days: working away on our computers, not even thinking about the possibility of hardware failure. Yes, The dreaded "crash." What happens when technology fails? (and yes, it does fail.) We're often left without any back-up, without any fall-back plans -- and our valuable data (documents, photos, videos... the things which are often irreplaceable) are lost.
Why not be proactive, and have a back-up plan, just in case your computer decides to go "poof." We can help keep your data safe, and (in the case of a disaster) we can get you back up and running better than new. We have the solution as always. So call or come in, we offer speedy and professional in-store and on-site service to give you the peace-of-mind you desire. Be proactive, have a back-up plan!

| | Don’t Be Fooled, Play It Smart, Play It Cool! | March 6, 2012 | Many of you, I’m sure, have come across scams like the recent "Microsoft repair" call campaign (also known as the AMMYY scam), or some other third-party offering computer assistance by e-mail. The scammers typically start out by telling you that your computer is "infested with spyware" and then offer to help -- for a fee. The best thing to do in these cases is nothing. Play it smart, play it cool. Remember, reputable companies like Apple or Microsoft would never launch into programs like these. Never respond, just hang up or delete “phishing messages”.
Have a look at this testimonial below... Remember we can help with all your computer issues, on-site and in-home, we’re here to help.
"You saved me from this computer scam!
http://www.torontopolice.on.ca/newsreleases/pdfs/22880.pdf
Thanks again for helping me out last year when I fell victim to the “Microsoft” repair pitch. It’s interesting to see the many people who were affected. I guess I should have phoned the police too, but at the time I was so stunned I wasn’t thinking clearly. I still get calls about three times a week with attempts to help me “fix” my operating system. These guys are nothing if not persistent.
Regards,
Susanne Jones"

| | Forza 4 Motorsports for Xbox 360 | February 3, 2012 | Any race fans out there? I've been playing Forza Motorsports since it was released back for the Xbox in 2005, and now we're at the 4th edition on the 360 (top gaming console on market btw). The realism is even better with much improved graphics and great engine sounds.
(click on the link for some in-game footage driving the new Subaru STi)
This game features the best racetracks all over the world and the scenery is really something to behold. It amazes me how the developers keep pulling out better and better visuals from the same hardware!

| | The Return of the King: Why PC Gaming is Making a Comeback! | January 23, 2012 | With 64-player maps, exquisite textures, amazing physics, and tessellation that consoles can only dream of, PC gaming is undergoing a renaissance.
Wasn’t it just four years ago that the pundits and game media gathered in wake, made a few pithy quips about graphics and soundcard drivers, and poured their 40‑ouncers over the grave of PC gaming? Well guess what, baby—PC gaming ain’t dead by a long shot. In fact, there’s a strong argument that PC gaming is not only alive and well, it’s thriving and poised to dominate consoles.
Don’t believe us? Battlefield 3, one of the most anticipated launches of the year, only offers 64-player goodness to those on the PC, and tweaks the frak out of PC-only graphics that make game consoles look like peddlers of VGA output in a 1080p world. Smash a window in Batman: Arkham City on a PC with PhysX support, and you’re rewarded with glass particles flying everywhere—just as if you threw a thug through a plate glass window in real life. Do that on a console, and you’re rewarded with a pathetic tinkle.
Let’s not even talk about The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which has enhanced textures and graphics on the PC that its developer, Bethesda, says will “melt your face.” And hell, we haven’t even gotten to the PC-only titles of Star Wars: The Old Republic, Dota 2, and Diablo III, or the free-to-play phenomenon and MMOs.
So are we seeing a resurgence of PC gaming, or are we just fooling ourselves? To find out, read our report on whether “real” gaming has returned. Then read our reviews of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Batman: Arkham City, two of the latest games to celebrate what PCs uniquely offer; and finally, take a gander at our list of the 10 best free PC games online. If we are fooling ourselves about a PC gaming comeback, we’re having a kick-ass time of it.

Our big draw was our 7 exotic reptiles including a 5’ Alligator and a 20’ cobra and a bunch of other cool critters. And a clown/balloonist and free popcorn. Our day drew hundreds of people and raised hundreds of dollars for Sick Kids Hospital which we are delighted to support.
