Vista Service Pack 2 just released
May 27, 2009
Vista SP2 has just been released. Some people have had it pop up in their Windows Updates, others have had to download and install it.
Be sure you have a complete backup before installing, and be aware service packs DO cause problems at times so it's user beware!
Everyone is switching out their standard light bulbs for CF versions to save electricity. How about doing the same thing with your old computer?
The average 4 year old PC draws approximately 150W while our most efficient Signa Micro PC only draws 26W running Windows and < 6 watts in standby mode!
Hi, I'm Greg, nice to meet you!
March 31, 2009
Hello everyone, I'm Greg, the owner of Signa and would like to introduce myself.
I started Signa Computer Systems way back in 1993 (it sure doesn't seem like that long ago, 16 years!) to build high quality PCs for people that appreciated them. It's been a great run so far, with technology getting better and less expensive, more and more people can enjoy them.
Ok, about myself. I'm a bit of a technology nut to say the least and really like keeping up with the latest and greatest hardware and software. I just upgraded to the new Intel i7 965 Extreme (what an awesome CPU) and Asus Rampage II motherboard. OCZ 1866 memory, WD Black Hard drive, and a BFG Nvidia 295 Video Card. You wouldn't believe how fast this system is, it's incredible! I get just over 20,000 in 3DMark06 at 3.2GHz and over 24,000 overclocked at 3.7Ghz. BTW, a client just outdid my upgrade by going with 2x BFG 295's in SLi and gets 29,000+. :)
I'm also into Formula One racing, so if you ever want to come over, have a coffee and chat F1, please do! I'm also into cars in general and appreciate all makes/models/years so car talk is pretty big around here.
Well that's a start to our blog. Thanks for reading and check back periodically so see what's going on with us.
Kind Regards,
Greg

We've been running Vista since day one (with zero updates) and have not had a problem with it. Now that service pack 1 and many new updates have been released, more and more people have realized the time has come to retire 2002's XP and make the move to Vista. Since day one we've offered a complete rollback to XP if problems are experienced and to date no one has taken us up on this. If you'd like to upgrade to Vista we have the knowledge necessary to make the transition a smooth one.
